A Full Day Workshop with Indonesian Brand Owners and Formulators
Jakarta, 27 August 2026. Ecoori joined Mahachem Indonesia, Specchem and ABC Nanotech at Oakwood Hotel Taman Mini Indonesia Indah for a full day workshop with Indonesian brand owners, formulators and R&D teams. The theme was skin feel: what actually creates it, and which technologies deliver it without compromise elsewhere in the formulation.
Four Companies, One Shared Problem
Four companies shared the programme, each bringing a different layer of the same problem.
Mahachem Indonesia hosted the day as our promotion and distribution partner in the market, and framed where Indonesian personal care is moving. Local demand is shifting quickly from claim led launches toward measurable performance, and the room reflected that.
Specchem presented its biotech platform for antibacterial and anti dandruff performance. Scalp and hygiene remain among the most competitive categories in Indonesia, and the discussion turned practical fast around efficacy at realistic use levels.
ABC Nanotech brought porous silica and PMSQ from Korea. These are the quiet workhorses behind sensory design, sebum control and delivery, and they answer the skin feel question more directly than most actives do.
Natori Exobiome LB Enters the Peer Reviewed Literature
Natori Exobiome LB has entered the peer reviewed literature. An independent academic consortium spanning the University of Palermo, the Medical University of Gdansk, the University of Rzeszow and the University of Stuttgart used the material as its test ingredient, and reported accelerated wound closure in keratinocyte scratch assay, significantly reduced intracellular ROS in human dermal fibroblasts, and modulation of senescence associated markers.
Under normal conditions it quiets unnecessary stress signalling; under stress it switches on adaptive repair. That is homeostasis rather than blunt stimulation, and it is the scientific footing beneath the industry’s move from repair claims to longevity claims.
Natori Phytopeel: Enzymatic Exfoliation at the Skin's Own Conditions
Natori Phytopeel covered enzymatic exfoliation. It runs on three complementary fruit proteases from pineapple, papaya and fig, chosen to cover a wider range of keratin substrates than any single enzyme manages alone. It activates at 37°C and pH 4 to 6, which is exactly where skin already lives. No micro tearing, no acid photosensitivity, water soluble and straightforward to formulate.
Across the Natori Range
We also walked through Natori Exorice SC for barrier and brightening, Natori Exobrew YT for scalp and hair, Natori Multibiome HD, our 60 ferment postbiotic and prebiotic system, and Natori Collacell VX, a lipid phase complex that supports collagen across its full lifecycle rather than at a single step.
Our thanks to the Mahachem Indonesia team for hosting, to Specchem and ABC Nanotech for a strong joint programme, and to everyone who stayed through the last session.
