Natori Glabridin 98 is a chemical compound found in the root extract of licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra). It has benefits of inhibiting tyrosinase, dopachrome tautomerase and the activity of DHICA oxidation enzyme. When used on the skin, it reduces melanin synthesis, lightens skin tone, reduces age spots and prevents oxidative damage. Additionally, it also functions as a soothing and anti-microbial agent. It is widely used in cosmetics for its skin lightening, whitening, bleaching, anti-oxidant, anti-freckles and anti-dark spots properties.
